1. The actual text of the 13th Amendment, along with the date it was ratified.
"Section 1
Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
Section 2
Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation." (National Archives 13th amendment)
The 13th Amendment was ratified December 6th, 1865

- The 13th Amendment had freed all slaves within the U.S. while the Emancipation Proclamation had just freed slaves in the states that had seceded from the U.S. (National Archives Emancipation Proclamation)
